Well, considering that is what I thought we were getting in the first place, that makes this forum a bonus!

I recommend we leave this area for specific questions to SeaLife, and move other discussions to here...

A great addition to our board!

You've got it exactly right - the manufacturer's area is where you come to ask questions specific to getting help from them and you can also report faults and requests for service here.

In the users area, exchanging tips and tricks specific for SeaLife cameras and also sharing your experiences with these rigs.

Don't neglect the main UW Photo areas for general things - and posting photos, we all want to see! We have a dedicated lighting area for questions on strobes, placement and using your light to the best advantage and a digital darkroom area for getting the best from your image once you get back to dry land, just to name two.

And, of course, our Stickied Theme is always open and waiting for input! BTW - some more suggestions would be great as the well is starting to run a little dry - I'll linked the suggestion thread in the new theme.

So glad to see another active group of uw photographers helping each other out!

Agreed!
With my limited knowledge of ScubaBoard...

I know that SB was working with SeaLife to have personel who could regularly check in here for questions concerning SeaLife products... This was already in the works... Before the suggestion was made SeaLife was working to have some professional personel available to check in here for a manufacturer's question area (Much like the other excellent manufacturers you see here on SB answering questions)...

prskate2 lit a match that burned bright. The rest of us simply added our desires to that... HowardE (marketing director) contacted SeaLife (forwarded that thread, and the thread that asked for supporters to come forward) to them. With excellent customer service in mind, SeaLife was on board (excuse the pun...) in less than 24 hours...

It's not hard to see the type of questions we have been asking. While some concern products from the manufacturer, many are about how to take better pictures using our SeaLife products....

Who better to answer those questions than we who use them? That gave birth to the new user's group. We have the best of both worlds! We have a manufacturer who is committed to customer service and users who are ready to help each other!
