Hi Patrick,

Good to see you on here.
I have a question about a MachV I got not too long ago. I was going thru my gear today, and I was having trouble getting the holes on my MachV to line up with my BP and STA. I have 2 sta's, 5 wings, and 4 backplates.... all of them have holes (or bolts in the case of the sta's) that are 11 inches apart (which seems to be about as standard as something gets on a BP/W), except for the MachV. It's holes are exactly 10.5 inches apart, so they don't line up with my STA's or the holes in my BPs. Even the holes on my Oxycheq doubles wing are 11" apart. Is this by design? Is it possible that I got one whose holes were not punched correctly?
Thanks for any input you have, and I would be happy to take a picture of the measurement of the holes if you like.
I love the quality of both my Oxycheq wings, very streamlined in the water.
Thanks,
Jason

EDIT- I called a friend of mine who bought the same wing from the same dealer at the same time I did, and hers measures 11 inches at the center of the holes, so I am guess that mine was not punched correctly. I purchased it new from an Oxycheq dealer, and have the receipt, but the shop is not an Oxycheq dealer anymore. Is it possible for me to work directly with Oxycheq to get it replaced? Thanks again.

Interesting - I have a Mach V that suffers from almost the same "problem." Though I haven't measured the distance between the holes, I do need to stretch the wing ever so slightly to get the holes on the wing to align with the screws on my Halcyon STA (which does align perfectly with the holes on all of my BPs.)

I've found the same thing, but usually if the wing gets wet, the material between the holes will stretch just slightly allowing every thing to line up. Or, just leave the rig together once you get it set up.

Appreciate the idea, but mine was so far off that even soaking wet I couldn't stretch it enough to make it. Thanks though.

We had one like that too and sent it in- at least they were quick to fix it and send it back!
