Volunteer Firefighter would be my guess. :) I have mine in the same place.

I've packed 4 AL80's, and 2 full 7mm cold weather setups, BC's, dive flag and weights, in the back of my 07 Vue with no issues. We'll be taking to Dutch Springs this summer all loaded up too.

Well, here's my Tacoma packed up... it's just my gear, but I have four movable cleats that I can position anywhere along the bedrails... so I could potentially add more tanks.

I  my truck!

Dog not included in gear setup. ;)

By the way, he rides in the front with me. NEVER in the bed of the truck! =)

Love the tank being seat belted in.

Michael

As well as the seat belts there is a bungee on the top of the tank.

We had one rear ended at over 100 and another one roll over and the tanks never moved. Also there are two tanks standing up there. Just bad angle pics.

Dang. I'm glad to see the extra "torpedo" didn't move.

I need to do something to secure my tanks better. Till last weekend, I just had my tanks on the floor in the back and I had everything else pilled on top. Lats weekend I went and bought 4 ratchet tie down and criss-crossed them to secure the tanks to the bottom. It takes up a lot of room. So today I'm going to try to make a design to set them up vertically in the back either along the side or across the back of the back seat.

Nope, they're blue. Hubby's a cop, his supervisor gave him permission to run blue in his POV. He's only gotten to use them a few times for official use but they bring him joy. I buy scuba gear, he buys lights for the VUE, we both end up happy!

CF - are you on ELB? Hubby's on there and I know he talks to a few people that have lights in the VUEs. Did you fit all of your gear in just the back, or did you use the backseat as well? We had two people in our backseat so only had the cargo area, plus had to carry enough stuff to stay out of state for a week. We packed the non-gear suitcases lightly but we still ran out of room for them.

Last year for our AOW class we needed to load 10 tanks, all our gear (wife and me), plus clothes and food for a weekend at Lake Tahoe. At the time we owned three motorcycles, a Mazda 6, and a Plymouth Van. Well, the van had over 130k miles on it and was acting unreliable. We didn't want to lose the weekend so we loaded everything in the Mazda. Can you sing "Low.....Ry.........der". We were riding on the rubber bumpers.

After that weekend we went and bought a 2007 Nissan Frontier LE 4x4. When you gotta buy a truck for your hobby, scuba gets expensive! Never bothered to take a pic of the truck loaded.
