The seabob is the best scooter available. Even the navy is interested because theres are much slower.

You can handle it very easily once you figured out how. It is not tiring to the arms and you can connect to the scooter … at least we did with a weak link.

If you have the right equipment it won’t tear of your mask. Of cours a lot of pressure rests on it.

Equalizing is simple if you practice and remain in a near steady depth level.
It was my greaterst worry to, but it was the smallest problem.
You do need to have the right gear so regulator doesn’t blow of and so on …

We where the first to take the seabob down to its limits during a 7 week period last summer.
That is where the 4 videos where made (Made in(by) Germany:-)

We know all about the seabob and cayago model and have excellent contacts to the german company producing it.
I even know the inventor and service crew.

Because of our positive experiences we set up a seabob test site on the Spanish island Mallorca this year.

If anyone is interested:

In mallorca you get the full program.

Introduction into handling and diving with the seabob.
We have a big set back house (spanish style finca) with large pool where you will get introduced to the seabob in safe environment. You can touch it, feel it, power it up, get to know the controls and how to be one with it ... safely in the pool.

After that we start for a real dive tripp with two seabobs into the Mediterranean surrounding Mallorca.
We have also a zodiac to support the dive, or the option to do a beach dive supported by 4 weel drive Toyota HZJ 105 (gets anywhere).
We provide also living in the house (bethroom with + bath), but there are also hotels near by.
We do not offer diving courses! You have to be certified diver with you own gear (like you go on dive holyday).
All the other things you need we will provide. Never the less you will be handled by a certified Divemaster … so no worrys.
So if you are really interested contact me and ask for details.

By the way, we do not sell seabobs yet, but can help you to order the right one trough our contacts.
We plan on selling the full program. That means introduction, training and seabob.

Since the Cayago AG is a carfull company we are still in negotiations about being an official dealer.
If every thing works out then the price of the seabob will include our program… no one is able to offer that!!!

Anyone planning on serious diving with the seabob should use our offer, since it will safe lots of anger, wrong equipment costs, and last but not least damage to the body and precious seabob.
It is also lots of fun to just dive with us and the seabobs.

One thing is for sure.

Seabob diving is not another ball game … it is a whole new league!!!
It only is fun when everything is set up right (knowledge, equipment …), only then you will feel like a dolphin and you can cover distances … unbelievable.
It is also safe to enviourment because it is nearly noice less and verry precise navigation is possible.

Just watch the videos:

In the part 1 video/slide show you see how it all began.

Back then we didn’t even have the weight for the seabob because the company did not sell it yet… we jus improvised finding out the correct amount of weights and than made one out of leed … just like the original sold today.
That is interesting because without the weight you are 15 kg positive!
No way of scuba diving with out the additional weight! When the seabob was first tested by “professional” divers in a navy pool in Germany, they compared all available scooters.
They raided the seabob as “to heavy, expensive but high quality and best noiseless power”.
They did not use any weight because it wasn’t available then… do I need to say more?

Well, I still bought it and we really tested it 7 weeks in the open sea, and I think it is the best scooter on earth!!!
When you finish diving, kids or even my mother had great fun using it on the surface with the remaining power.
My mother weights approx. 45 kg and was flying trough the water … if my mother can handle it why shouldn’t anybody else (above the water)?
Also, you just plug it in and it will be ready again! Absolutely no maintenance and hassle with complicated sealigs and batteries.

Any questions … just ask

Robin

By the way, this is to the smart as acusingme to penetrate a wreck without back up.
My back up was my buddy and the 5 meter water depth at 22 °C temperature.

If I use all the back up like a cave diver, it sure gets tangled inside.
If my air is finished… what use is all the back up!!! Best back up is a buddy and maybe a "spare air" tank.

Anyway that is another discussion. Just be shure, I know when I need a back up system, so don’t comment when you where not there and know the situation and completer set up!

The German rap music is better thean being sued by an american for millions of dollars because of using a nice sount track with out right ... you agree?

Bravo! Seabob ROCKS! I know have an item for my wish list!

Thats the kind of diving I WANT TO DO! (no sarcasm.. some of you like this slow paced stuff.. I definately do not!)

Their top model does 13mph overwater and almost 10mph under!? I am sold!

These things are surely the way DIVING needs to go to open up to more people like me..

Lucky for me, my dives rarely last 1 hour (thier total use time per charge)

I liked the music on the first video.

I noticed the wreck diver was wearing split fins...how could he! No wonder the polar ice caps are failing and melting.

Reminds me of Top Gun, but underwater. :o) Makes me want to take one out and try it. Get stuck in the mud on the bottom of some Kansas lake trying to do the loop!

I liked the "top water fishing jig" imitation. Reminded me of Kevin C. in Waterworld w/o the rope pulling him.

It looks like a lot of fun, it'll give new meaning to a monkey dive.

Kind of reminds me, though, of the Scuba-do, (not in function, just in marketing) a dive-vespa-motor-scooter kind of thing where you sat on a seat under a helmet. They used some on SEAQUEST DSV (a TV show I did some consulting for), it was an interesting device but over-priced and never able break into the regular market. Last I heard the remnants were being used as an attraction at some Caribbean resort.

I could get to my secret lobstah spot in a hurray with this thing!

What's the top speed and how much does it weigh?

Definitely sign me up!

Oh, can we get the price closer to $500.00? :eyebrow:

I would be concerned about lateral collisions - ie., a jetski coming at me from the side when I surface, unable to turn my head to check both ways.

I assume there's a kill switch that turns it off if the rider's hands fall off the controls?

This looks like great fun in the open ocean, I would love to try one sometime. However, I wouldn't encourage reef-skimming with it. That's an accident waiting to happen.

Finally, in regards to wreck penetration, don't you worry about a silt-out, entanglement, and your redundant air supply (ie., buddy) being unable to reach or find you should an accident occur? Lots of things can happen, but this isn't the "inexperienced wreck penetration" thread.
