Here is my Trip report for that trip. Some might find it interesting! :D

Saba Trip on the CEII

Great report. Thanks!

Any issues with the canister light when you left St. Maarten? We got hassled about the battery this year in Georgetown, Great Exuma. Seems that nobody could recognize them as batteries . They weren't very bright people and it was very frustrating.

Tell them to stick their tongue across the terminals to verify your story. :D

Enjoy Saba - it's still my alltime favorite dive trip (not that I've been to a LOT of places to compare, but it truly was superb). I dove with Saba Deep and thought they were great (we never had more than 5 people diving at the same time) but sounds like you're already both booked and happy with your choice of operator.

I had NO issues with any of my scuba gear getting though customs.

I never carry my scuba gear on the plane. I check it all and have been lucky so far.
