Piston? Do you mean stem? Seat?Sorry I was unclear. There is an odd sized O-ring that seals the internal piston
I wish I could claim English as my second languagePiston? Do you mean stem? Seat?
Now you got me curious and since I have a genesis valve needing a rebuild .....I wish I could claim English as my second language
I believe the proper name is the HP seat:
Name that valve
Any valve design that uses an oring on the bonnet nut vs a crush washer is an improvement in my book. The valve is manufactured by MDE, which is part of the Cavagna group (The three little stars). Genesis slaps their name on it.
The stem takes two BS1806 010 (6,07mm x 1,78mm | 80S).
The packing nut takes a BS1806 015 (14.00mm x 1,78mm | 70S).
The split washer is made from PTFE (6,10mm x 9,10mm x 1,40mm).
The stem and seat combination with the square ends is one of my favorite configurations.
