Is anyone carrying their rebreather as carry on? I've done this a few times but only with Alaska Airlines....some of the Mexican airlines look at me like CRAZY bomber guy....and have to check the RB.

Carry on every trip I do. Use a hard sided carry on luggage and everything fits except the wing and backplate.

XCCR, travel canister fits with head on. Expedition Can I carry the head in my backpack.

All the time and typically surprised that they don’t even want to open the bag and ask questions. Tried in multiple airport in Us, Europe, Egypt, Mexico.

Inspiration canister and head carry on, if using travel frame it may even fit too

I usually just wear my backmount directly on the plane. Chest mount I just carry it as a purse.

I take my rEvo Micro as carry on most of the time. Sized to fit overhead bins. Some airlines (Southwest) have a little extra carry on width and that allows me to carry on with tanks installed (valves removed). 3 legs of Southwest flight that way.

Last flight to Truk I was shuffling weight and found I could wrap my bail outs around the rEvo and it was still small enough. All that extra brass sure made it heavy. But I made it out underweight on the checked bags. Sorb was an issue on that trip and I brought my own. That left me room to check the rEvo on the way back.

Lithium batteries are in my personal item bag.
