Hello everyone!

So I have recently bought used Mares by Mobbys neoprene drysuit. So I have been wondering what undersuit should I buy. I am diving in Croatia and temperatures here go from 11 to 25 degrees celsius. I was thinking of Fourth Element Arctic with my own skiing thermal base layer. I also have some fleece uppers that I can combine with everything. I would like to hear some other opinions and advices. Thank you in advance!

Kind regards,
Luka

Hi Luka,

Depending on how you move in water:

11C: 4th Element Arctic + merino underwear (or any other moisture wicking underwear).
25C: Use a base layer, like 4th Element Xerotherm + merino underwear (or any other moisture wicking underwear).

Most of the stuff is trial and error when you get started. See if you get some used stuff.

Thank you for answering!
I was checking out 4th element Artic, just need to see if I can find it anywhere used.

Can as a base layer work my regular skiing base layer (thermal underwear)?

Probably. I regularly use 150 weight merino for the same purpose.

you than use just that merino or you have anything over it as well? Talking about summer temps.

You should always have a base layer that wicks moisture away from skin. Performance oriented sports underwear will do in the summer. There are base layers that you can use by themselves. If you with those base layers be prepared to wash them often, as you'll get sweaty.

Great that's what I needed.
Also you said 4th element Artic should be okay for these temps in winter (25 degrees celsius)?

I use a 4th element arctic plus normal boxers for temperatures in the teens Celsius, and it’s fine up to about 80 minutes or so. Tried the same setup ice diving ant it was cold.

OP: Just a thought, but have you tried on your drysuit with some clothes that approximate thickest undergarments to ensure that you have adequate range of motion/comfort?
