Hi folks - appreciate this is quite an old post but did the size of the screw for the back plate ever get resolved as missing a couple for my D6 and cant seem to find anywhere? Thanks.
@guysie,

We do have a few D6 back plate screws that we use to replace the old ones when a D6 with bad screws is sent to us for service. Post a picture of the exact D6 screw you need because they come in different heads and colors to see if we have those.

@guysie,

From your pictures, I think we have those screws with torx heads in stainless steel (as your hatch) and in black. Besides the screws, I believe your D6 would need to be serviced. That is a new O-ring, a fresh battery, and a waterproof test to 160 feet. If you are interested, please send me a private message so we can quote you.

Thank you for the reply, I've got a new o ring and battery so just after the screws if you can help?

Oh that's a shame, a bit misleading on your post.

Sorry, but we don't sell spare parts for dive computers. We need and use those parts to service our client's dive computers.

:shakehead:

Why bother responding to this thread if you won’t sell the screws ???

Oh that's a shame, a bit misleading on your post.
We are sorry you misinterpreted our previous post. We were merely attempting to provide a solution for your issue. We never said we would be willing to sell you the D6 screws and there are two reasons for that: 1) We do not sell dive computer parts; our business repairs and services dive computers. 2) If we would sell you the screws and they are not the correct ones, or there is a problem with the threads, or if you install the wrong size Oring and the computer floods, you will blame us for selling the wrong parts and that would affect our reputation. That is why we offer to install a new Oring, install new screws, and waterproof your computer to 165 feet. Performing the complete service allows us to check all functions and give our clients a 6-month warranty against flooding. We invite you to visit our website: www.divewatchdoctor.com to better understand the scope of our services.

That's really rude, he was just trying to help.

Or just trying to solicit business. His “help” was to offer to service, not to sell the D4 screws that the OPs were trying to source.
