Hi,
I use this computer as a back up, but I still use the integrated air feature. My question is, if the battery dies, will the air gauge still work as it is digital. Or maybe better to get a seperate gauge for air,
Thanks for advice.

It will not. You can certainly get an SPG if you'd like, but it sounds like you have redundant air integrated computers running? Seems enough to me and an SPG not necessary, but you should make your own decision as to risk tolerance.

Thanks, The Aqualung is my only integrated unit and sole pressure gauge,

Nothing digital will work without either a battery or solar power.

Is there a battery indicator on that computer? If so, make sure there is enough juice before the dive. Mechanical SPGs do fail as well, but for other reasons. Having a SPG in your SAD kit is a good idea.

So reason I asked is that while my battery showed as dead, the PSI still was showing up. Weird.

My 550c gave a low battery sign after a day of diving in Coz, which sent me on a scramble to find a 2450 battery that night before the stores closed. Now I carry a spare in my bag just in case. You can swap it yourself pretty quickly. I haven't seen it work only partially like you describe, but I didn't use it while the low battery light was on.

Yes, I carry a extra. Had a heck of a time finding one in Cozumel a couple years back!
