Shipments of the SDE novel Reeler has unavoidably been postponed till spring of this year
We at Spectrum Diving Equipment wish to apologize to everyone for the necessity to be changing our projected introductory delivery date for the Reeler again. Particularly to the dealers and divers who were anxiously awaiting our initial shipments.
The root cause for this delay rests with delivery of three critical molds from our primary supplier. Delivery has been a moving target because of engineering complexities that are taking longer to resolve than the supplier had anticipated. As a result, we have found it prudent to announce this action.
While two of the molds have been finished, the third and most complicated is being worked on at this very time. SDE takes full responsibility for this delay and we are working closely with our supplier to have this last mold completed within a month or so.
This delay will not prevent us from exhibiting at two trade shows, the Boston Sea Rovers and Beneath the Sea. At each of these shows we had planned to have live demonstrations of the finished Reeler product. Since that will not be possible, we will demonstrate current prototypes and offer 10% off on preorders. As soon as we are shipping, we will issue a press release, and will be contacting all interested parties of record. Our best projected delivery date is now in the spring of this year.
I wish to extend to everyone a personally apology for any inconvenience this delay may have caused.
