Been watching an TV drama called Lyykeland "State of Happiness" set in Stavanger, Norway during the 1960's.
It follows the affects on Norwegian coastal communities during a decline in fishing and the subsequent oil industry boom in the North Sea.
Although mainly land based, a couple of the main characters are commercial divers and there are quite a few wet-bell sequences that are worth a watch.
I'd be interested in the views of oil rig divers of that era as to whether the equipment and procedures have been accurately depicted.
Either way, I'm enjoying it and there's enough 'love interest' to keep the wife happy.
I do like a decent Scandi-noire and the Norwegian ones in particular.
