How best to clean the corrosion and junk from the terminals?

I flooded mine too. Here is what I did (learned from the captain of Palau Aggressor II) to clean my Sea & Sea YS110 corroded battery contacts:
1. Heat 1/4 glass cup of 4.5% vinegar in microwave for a minute.
2. Pour some of the warm vinegar to the battery compartment.
3. Let the solution clean the corroded contact for a few seconds.
4. Drain out the vinegar out of the battery compartment.
5. Flush the compartment with water.
6. Flush the compartment with 91% Isopropyl Rubbing Alcohol.
7. Let it dry by evaporation.
The metal contact turns to shiny metal as if it just came out of the box
