GREAT photo! Shame about the vis though.:shakehead:

Which lens, if I may ask?
That one isn't my photo - it is Alex Dawson's (I should have credited him in my first post) - taken while diving with Faisal on one of the Red Sea Explorers liveaboards. From memory Alex uses a Nikon with a very wide angle Nikon lens.

Hi All,
if nobody mentioned it already (sorry I did not read the entire thread), south of France, Cavalaire sur Mer is a good location. Aldo Ferrucci, TDI instructor trainer has his headquarter and diving center there for (almost only) rebreather dives. He is instructor for several units (rEvo, Divesoft, JJ and others), so you can get support for your unit. O2, He and sorb are available. Several wrecks in the area. No problem for rebreather dives, as long as you have a valid and recent medical certification. I do not have a webpage link, but you find Aldo Ferrucci Rebreather Training on the major social media.
Beautiful town, dives and a great specialized support for this kind of dives.
Cheers

Please let me make both an addition and a delete to your CCR friendly shops worldwide, here in the Cayman Islands, BWI:
Currently within the three island chain, Nat Robb owner of Indepth Watersports, located in the West Bay area of Grand Cayman, is the only full CCR support shop here.
The delete is DiveTech, they have not been supporting CCR for two years now, although Jo is working on getting back into the tech OC side currently. We generally travel to GC twice a year for one month stay each, so I am very familiar with Nat’s operations!! I cannot say enough about how fair and friendly Indepth Watersports is!

  • South America
    • Brazil
      • Natal and Recife in Brazil. Sea, O2, Sorb, Trimix, various profiles, tech guides, and, in Recife, wrecks.
      • Mina da passagem, in Mariana, total facilities, a flodded 18th century gold mine with various profiles.
      • Subaquatica in Sorocaba, wich i am associated through Inspiration Brasil, who, although not in a touristice destination, can arrange pretty anything needed for CCR trips
  • Central America
    • Mexico
      • Socorro. I also had a great time diving with Nautilus at Socorro. Easy to get fills. They gave me a keg of sorb which easily lasted the trip. Got much closer to the mantas and had better profiles than the divers on nitrox.
      • Tulum. Personally I like Cave CCR dive center (little bit more lower key and not as much of a "Mexico dive factory") - 200B O2 fills, Helium , Sorb, air fills, guides, CCR tanks, DPV's
    • Bonaire. TDS offers sorb, He and DPVs
Does Dominica have CCR support? As mentioned, there are some free-diver friendly destinations and CCR banned countries (or marine parks specific bans bafflingly?).

Lake Superior/ Isle Royale on the US side is legit. Ryan supports CCRs very well but is booked out years in advance. Isle Royale Charters | Michigan Shipwreck Diving Charters - Book Today There's zero need for a DPV on any of the wrecks he visits and you are better off swimming (1 slightly warmer and 2 less chance of free flows)

There's virtually nothing on the Canadian side of Superior.

No problem for rebreather dives, as long as you have a valid and recent medical certification.
Medical? Why do you need those to go diving?

I don't do CCR, so I don't know details. What I know is that Nikos from Chania Diving ( www.chaniadiving.gr ) here in Chania/Crete/Greece is very active teaching CCR stuff.
There are some deep WW2 wrecks that can be enjoyed with CCR.

For Greece, we need to add Kea, and the goto guy there is Yannis Tzavelakos of keadivers.com. He has done a lot of hard work to open up a number of non cultural sensitive sites to diving and facilitates most (all?) of the dives to the Britannic.
