Alert a Member in a Post​

There are several options to alert a member to your post, providing their Alert Preferences are set.

There are many more notification option than just these but these examples are the most commonly seen.

1. Quotes in your message​

See Quote an Entire Post and Quoting Selected Parts of a Post for more information.

2. Mentions you in a message​

You can also alert a ScubaBoard member by entering an ampersand and starting to type their username.

Complete your message and click the Post reply button. Note that the @MemberName becomes a link to their profile and adds an Alert to this post.

3. Someone "unfurls" one of your posts​

The member who wrote the post in your unfurled post will get an Alert.
