The fauna of the "soft bottom habitats" or "muck diving" sites continues to fascinate. Seen in Dauin this week: A zebra crab living on a very venomous fire urchin, and a crinoid clingfish in-between the filter feeding arms of a crinoid. I saw an Ambon scorpionfish on the same dive (not in this video, still editing).
The muck diving in Dauin is always good, but these days the number of otherwise rare critters we encounter is unusual. I don't remember seeing many zebra crabs in previous years. Is this connected to this crazy heat wave?
