Hello everyone! I have a question about the fit of my ranger. I am a 5'10 guy at about 190 lbs an have a size medium ranger. It fits well, although I have some issues with the shoulder section. I dive a whites shell suit with 400 thinsulate undies and with the medium shoulders the bc feels a bit tight. On the other hand if I use large shoulders I have to tighten them all the way for a good fit.. Is it normal that you have to tighten the sholders all the way in for a good fit? Please help me get the perfect fit of my beloved ranger! :D

this I would like to hear the answer about this one. Because I was thinking in purchasing the medium shoulders and keep the lower large bottom half. I too, am about your size at 197lbs and 5'8.

I too, have found out I must tighten my shoulders to almost the smallest settings for a good fit so you are not the only one.

I'm 5-10, 170 (use to be 190) and have a Ranger Medium. I find it has a wide shoulder adjustment range. My LDS wanted me to go with a Zeagle Teck but the shoulder straps were very tight. My Ranger gave me much more flexibility.

i ordered the medium and im almost exactly your size. when it came in, i couldnt get the cumberbun to fit around my waist. I know its adjustable but couple that with the fact i had to have the shoulder let all the way out, i went with a large. never dove it before swapping to a bp/w

waist 34/35

It depends, really.

For proper fit, the shoulders only really need to be tight enough to take out the slack.

Put the BC on with the shoulders at their "loosest" position.

Make sure the BC is worn low, so that the weights are resting on your hips and tighten the waist panels and the waist strap snuggly.

Clip the chest strap and tighten to where it feels comfortable.

Now just pull the shoulder straps tight enough to take the slack out. Don't overtighten.

Go diving and have fun!

Thanks,

Scott
