Chad Carney:
Yes, confirmed!

Only if the Ranger is about 1993 vintage, the clips on the side of the winglets won't match.

Chad

I'm a bit confused on what your saying here... we swap them every day... I can take a brigade, and pull a brand new ranger bladder and toss it right on... current ones... not 1993 vintage... no problem. A brigade is simply a Ranger with a roll down pocket, then a different bladder. Take off that bladder, and aside from the roll down pocket and the patch that says brigade... you would not know it's not a ranger - so yes, you can swap back and forth easily.

You will need to have the straps that go with the ranger bladder, as they are designed to go through the 4 pieces of webbing on the back of the harness instead of just the 2 that the escape bladder uses... but those would be on the ranger bladder... just move them over as well.

In fact, we even had them leave the little clips coming up under the pockets so if someone does want to switch to a ranger bladder, the clips to hook the wings on are there as well.

I believe what Chad is trying to say is:

If you have a Ranger BC newer than 1993, the bladder from all the other BCs will be interchangable.

If your Ranger is older than that, the bladder attached a bit differently, and you may run into a problem....

Hope that helps clear up any confusion!!!

Well, I did say first: "Yes, confirmed!" :D

Sorry for the confusion. Since the number of Ranger bladders from 1993 or earlier is going to be super low, that last part really was a moot point.

(I run into it all the time at dealers who have customers that bring in old BCs that need new bladders. The side clips used to be flat, and now they are curved. Amazingly Zeagle can still fix 20+ year old BCs.)
