Hi,

i am currently thinking about doing the advanced Nitrox course (either CMAS Nitrox II or IANTD Advanced Nitrox), because i would like to go a little bit into Tec diving, which means "lighter" deco dives up to 50m with air and staged deco using Nitrox up to 100% for me.

I have a Cressi BCD right now, which i am quite happy with for single tanks and no stage. For taking a stage and probably smaller doubles, a friend offered the Zeagle 7607RK 911 to me, which you can e.g. see at 911 - Specialized BCs - BCs - Zeagle Dive Systems .

I could buy this jacket in as-new condition for 250€. Would this make any sense for the occasional deeper dive with a stage and probably doubles or should i go for a backplate/wing combo?

Btw, i have a 4mm compressed neopren drysuit...

Thanks guys

Chris

How often are you going to want to dive doubles?

If you want to do "light tech" diving, and occasionally dive with double tanks, it would be a fine BC...especially at that price!

However, if you want to dive with double tanks the majority of the time, I would probably go with a backplate.

A third option is - you can buy the 911, then add a backplate to it later, if needed...

There is a video on this page called "How do I install my Ranger BC on twin tanks" that shows you what I am talking about - ZeagleHelp

Thanks,

Scott
