Yukon’s 10th Anniversary Sea Ceremony Video Now Available

The most dramatic event of the Yukon’s 10th Anniversary Celebration was the underwater press conference and ceremony on July 15th. Specially trained divers donned special face masks that allowed them to talk underwater while a time capsule was placed on the Yukon. Equipment donated by Ocean Technology Systems transmitted voices to the surface where the press and public were part of the adventure. Alumni of the Project Yukon sinking team placed messages on a computer drive which was stored in the time capsule with other mementoes to be retrieved on the Yukon’s 20th anniversary.
