Went out today, despite a heavy surge and water movement with 3m viz, I went for a dive with my newly named "OC Divers" and I had the time of my life.
Being on a RB with a bunch of OC'ers is no hassle at all. They were loud, this was the first time I noticed the sound of bubbles and they were LOUD.
Being totally negatively buoyant is SO COOL, you just glide and glide and glide.
And there was a funny moment....
For a moment I came from behind, and I noticed the 2 divers stopped and looking around in a frantic manner. I was only 5m away, and I can see them and I started waving at them but they still didn't acknowledge me. So I went in closer and waved at them and from there I saw a sigh of relief from both. We gave the OK signal and carried on.
Once out of the water I asked them both, what the issue was and if they saw anything.
They said they lost sight of me and they were trying to find me by looking for my bubbles :blinking:
They then realised at that point that was not possible.
Anyway tomorrow (Saturday) I will be diving the RB with my lighter camera Rig (Single Strobe) and purposely becoming task loaded to get used to using my cameras and ensuring everything is OK with my buoyancy and maintaining my PP02, more practising and rehearsing for longer and deeper dives. It will be in Sydney Harbour somewhere.
On Sunday, we will be diving at either Bare Island or Kurnell (in Sydney), if everything goes all right on Saturday, I hope to take my heavier camera rig out (Heavier Camera with Dual Strobes).
What is everyone doing on the weekend with their RB's????
Being a global forum, I think the responses will be interesting.
