I only found out today after visiting his website to discover he passed away last year. He was the owner of an independent dive store called EX-Scuba in Kanda Tokyo. He sold technical diving gear.
He was a very kind and funny man, always trying to sell me something, he spoke very little English but knew how to say "cash price, cash price".
He was always kind to me, I'm sad he's gone. I just wanted to put this out there.
