So like many others, the question falls to which way to go, the 200 or a B2 Atomic.

I'm not a cold water diver but use my Regs 3-7 times a week for everything from pool instruction work, springs diving and Open Water ocean dives.

I have a B2 now and want to have a back up that's quality vs my standard Oceanic's.

Many of the folks I trust, use the Apek systems for Tec work and I'm leaning in that direction at the moment.

Your thoughts and comments are always appreciated.

There are definite advantages to having a common regulator fleet. They all use the same parts, and when you aqquire a bunch of them for dubs and stages and deco regs, it's easy to take a class and overhaul them yourself.

Since you already have a B2, I'd suggest the Z2. It will breathe exactly the same and use the same parts. The Z2 is an amazing value because of it's high quality and low price.

I personally use Atomics for my doubles, stages, etc and they have been flawless for "tech". I know a lot of other folks that use them the same way.

All the best, James

James,
Thanks for the note. Yes, I can't fault my B2 at all, breaths the same, effortless at 20 or 90.

I'd like to take a Z2 and add Miflex hoses.

I like the swivel of the B2 but like the Miflex type pieces because they can be longer and I like color coding the primary hoses blue on all my rigs.

Especially for my students.

But man is that XTX-200 sweet.......... $450 new, is a great price for one.
