I’m taking tdi sidemount through deco procedures in Honduras this winter. My instructor recommended the rec. I was curious what the current consensus on scubaboard was. Am I better off with a rig that will be too big 95% of the time or one that might not be able to always have enough lift.

The smaller rec wing is fine in al80s

What are the other 5% of the dives though? Are you diving steel cylinders? What size? Drysuit?

I personally dive a Stealth Tec,often wearing just in a 3mm or a skin and 2 x AL 80, at no point does the bladder feel too big nor un-streamlined. I prefer the dual bladder for redundancy rather than relying on a lift bag or other such nonsense, but I accept other people have differing views
