XDeep Backplate and Different Doubles Wing

Is there anyone that pairs a different doubles wing (other than a Project) with the XDeep NX backplate? I find that the Project wing leaves me a bit head heavy.

hi, I was looking for something xdeep related and noticed this msg. Hope you already resolved the situation. I am using xdeep 50lb wing with steel plate (doubles- but applies to singles too). Started head heavy, shifted wing up and plate down...problem solved! if not feasible, as suggested before. Try tail weight- if using pants pockets- add 1-1.5lb to each pocket. Ideally you want to keep weight to a minimum (buoyancy)- so first try shifting the wing up. regards

That's pretty common with doubles, whatever the wing.

Thanks for the input. I now use an XDeep plate (which I love) paired with a DiveRite Classic dual bladder wing and steel 100s.

I wear either a 3 or 5MM suit plus a 5 mm hooded vest. The additional buoyancy keeps me in trim.

I regularly drysuit dive doubles of steel Faber hp100s with a steel plate. I found adding a couple lbs of lead, threaded onto the rear of my crotch strap (right below the plate, tight against the rear d-ring), along with jetfins, took care of the head down trim I was feeling. Costs basically nothing to try, but a few minutes of your time.
