For the past couple months, @California Diver and I have done some dives on what can best be described as an airplane junk yard.
We have photographed and documented six different WW2 airplane "carcasses" that we believe were dumped off aircraft carriers as they were approaching port. The engines, cockpit instrumentation and other parts have been salvaged before dumping these airplanes. They are all in the 200-240 foot depth range.
We found both F4U Corsairs and SBD Dauntless airplanes. Below is a link to an article that contains the GPS locations, descriptions, and photographs of each wreck:

We are confident that there are other similar aircraft in the vicinity but we don't have any current plans to continue looking for them.
