Not stuck on a particular brand, but do want it to be a name brand camera. This is for my wife who simply wants to click a few pix every once in a while. Want it small enough to slip a lanyard on her wrist so she only has to think about it when she wants to take a picture.

Surely someone out there is ready to upgrade!:blinking:

Why not just grab a new system? Canon A series with housing. Great on land cameras, too. As simple or as advanced as you want them.

Canon SD range if you want a true point & shoot. Several models of this range allow you to adjust the white balance which is very helpful underwater.

I think you might get more help in the main UW Photo are but as you implied you wanted a used system we've left it in here for the moment. If you would like it moved, please let me know.

I've got a Ricoh Caplio that I have used under & above water for the last 2+ years. It is 3+MP and comes with a SeaSea DX3000 housing designed just for that camera. I'll even throw in a S&S WALens that matches to the housing. I just got a Canon AS710 and that is the only reason I am considering selling. PM me for prices and pix I have taken with this outfit, if interested.

Check out the new Sea & Sea DX-1G. Its a Ricoh Camera, 10.1 MP, and comes in a Sea & Sea housing. Very nice, compact, Excellent quality, excellent wide angle and macro capabilities. One of our instructors is taking it out tomorrow for a test shoot. I will post sample images by the end of the weekend!
