Are there any "real wrecks" ner san diego, not artificial reefs???

I'm not tring to be provocative, but I mean, a ship in the bottom is a ship on the bottom, right? Maybe no holes blown into the side, etc.

Ship, sea growth, fishes. What's the difference?

Thanks -

K

I find "real" wrecks more interesting. I enjoy passageways not cut for divers. I like the remains of life on the ship. Cargo, suplies, tools, ect. and no I am not a "pillager"

I hadn't considered the "life on a ship" diarama a "real" wreck offered, as opposed the the sanitized artificial reefs. Good point.

Does a WW1 USN ship sunk during WW2 for bombing practice count? There is the wreck of the Hogan. I did that dive with gottadive.com (can't remember the boat's name) and thought it was outstanding. A lot better than the Yukon IMO and only 15' deeper.
