Hi Guys

I have a Canon A710IS in a Canon WPDC6 housing which, when used with my Epoque strobe gives me reasonable results in most conditions. I am looking to add to the system with either a wide angle or fisheye lense however haven't been able to track one down to suit the Canon housing.

Does anyone know of a compatible lense system that would get me out of trouble? There is the option to trade my housing for an Ikelite housing which would have compatible lense systems however I would rather find something that suits my current arrangement.

Thanks

Simon

Hi Simon,

I had a similar problem with my G9 and WP-DC21 housing. Just bought a lens adaptor and Epoque DML2-67mm marco lens. The adaptor and lens fit nicely onto the housing - will be testing it in 6 weeks time in Mozambique. However depending on how long the port on your DC6 housing is a wide angle lens might not work. There are a few threads on SB about the G9 that advise against wide angle with Canon housing because of the long port - the same might apply to the DC6, so it might be worth finding out before you buy.

I ordered online and they shipped it the next day from Holland to the UK.

BTW, which Epoque stobe do you use, cause I'm thinking about gettig one before I go diving since the G9's internal flash will not provide sufficient light for macro shots?

Thanks Adriaan

The Strobe is an Epoque ES-150DS. I have used it about 10 times now and am slowly getting better. Despite reading varied reviews of the strobe before I purchased, I have had no problems with it.

Cheers
