Has any one attempted to attach a 43-52 step-up ring or a 43-67 step-up ring to the housing ? Does it show any vignetting on the 67 mm lenses ?

IMO it will vignette due to the added distance but when I get home in a few more days I can test this for you.

I made a 67mm to Inon AD adapter for my Ikelite housing but I just use an INON AD adapter for Inon AD lenses with my DC-12.

Doesn't the AD mount put a similar distance between the rear element of the wide angle lens and the front element of the camera ? I screwing a step-up ring on the front adapter of the housing may just work as it adds 5mm more, but I am not sure how far is the front element of the camera lens is recessed in the widest setting.

Yes and no, I use the AD to 67mm threaded adapter that I made on an Ikelite housing with 67mm threads and I altered the port length.

On the DC-12 housing that I have the Inon AD adapter does add some length to the port but what you don't understand is that the AD lenses have a protruding rear optical element and the 67mm Type II stuff does not. Therefore the rear lens element is actually quite close to the port glass despite the AD adapter on the DC-12 housing. This will not be the case with the 67mm Type II, non AD, lenses and your adapter you are making.

Aha, that probably explains it. I initially thought about it but then I thought these designs are much simpler. Thanks, will try with other wide angle options.
