I have a Canon Powershot A80, and im conciderign buying the underwater housing, CANON WP-DC900 WATERPROOF CASE. If i do will the built in flash on the A80 supply enough light to make quality pictures? is there an underwater strobe I would need to buy as well? Any comments on the WP-DC900 at all?

I guess it depends on where your diving. I'm in Guam with pretty clear water, I have an A80 and don't use any strobes, etc. I like the photos enough that I really don't feel I want to lug a strobe around!! But if you have murky water, get backscatter, etc. Maybe a strobe would be a good idea. Check out my gallery if you want we see what kind of pictures I get without all the bonus stuff :-)

Good Luck

A strobe will open more opportunities for shooting underwater.

However, you can get some great photos with the internal flash only. The "trick" is learning to make the most of what your camera can do and getting really good at shooting within it's capabilities.

I like the Inon strobes with my Canon A series - small, light and work great.
