Canada just made it into the gold medal game by beating the Czechs 7-1. Anybody else watching? Well...I'm not actually watching cause hockey isnt real popular over here but I can listen to the games via internet radio. Ahhh...technology.

It looks like they'll face the US. I'd doubt it if Finland will put up much resistance. We'll know for sure in a couple hours.

Should be an exciting final.

Rest assured, we're watching.
Should make for an interesting gold medal game... especially with a couple of Canadians on the American team.

I watch it every year. Never miss it!

I think its the best hockey going these days. These kids play the game just as hard and fast as the pros except there's no money/fame problems like the pros. Even the olympic hockey is still not there yet for effort IMO.
The refing is the only element that is lacking for the juniors.

go Canada go!!!

We sure will. Considering Finland actually beat USA 4-1 (!) in their last encounter (23.12.2003 just before this tournament started) and have a very solid team on home ice, I wouldn't be so sure it's Finland's resistance that is to be doubted ...

Anyway, I agree Canada will be a handful in the final for whomever (probably Finland) that gets there.

After finishing my interviews after the Dallas-Phoenix game last night, I was walking back to the elevator to go back up to the press box, and who did I just happen to pass by along the way? THE GREAT ONE -- Wayne Gretzky -- himself, enjoying a Bud Light after watching his Coyotes thrash the Stars, 6-0.

... it's time to be magnanimous in defeat and congratulate Team USA on their well-deserved 2-1 win in a close game. :35:

The final between USA and Canada should be great!

OK... keep talking. If Canada wins, I acknowledge their superiority. If not, you should be a big enough man to do so as well. In any case I do respect Canada. As we grew up and played their teams, we were always far behind (IE - we got our butts kicked often against their best). Times have changed though, and Canada has found itself on the outside looking in in the International Hockey world. Maybe if more of you actually listened to Ken Dryden, Mike Smith, and Wayen Gretzky, you'd be a dominant world power. USA is marching down that road and we'll leave you in our spray if your out-dated ideas don't change. The future in Hockey is skills and creativeness - not in how big a goon you can put on the ice and the clutch-n-grab bull__it that exists in the NHL today.

Watching -- well sort of, but I am paying attention to what's happening turns out my boss is over there as his son's on the team!
