If you bring your photos into any simple photo-editing program, some of them could be much improved by using a single keystroke. I copied a few of your photos into a old, cheap program that I still use (Jasc), selected the "quickfix" button, and they became amazingly better. In Photo Elements (the most commonly-used photo-editing program for non-experts), you would use the "auto levels" button. This is a no-brainer because it takes no skill and you don't even have to learn the intricacies of the photo-editing program. By the way, your pictures are pretty good!
