My father sent me this little poem and it made me feel so homesick.... :) j/k

With some minor modifications it could even be sung to the national anthem. :)

=========

It's winter in Canada
And the gentle breezes blow
Seventy miles an hour
At thirty-five below.

Oh, how I love Canada
When the snow's up to your butt
You take a breath of winter
And your nose gets frozen shut.

Yes, the weather here is wonderful
So I guess I'll hang around
I could never leave Canada
I'm frozen to the friggin' ground!

Since moving from Winnipeg to Vancouver almost 20 years ago, normally I'd find your poem humourous, but not this winter. I've spent WEEKS wearing my down-filled coat... that I bought to wear for trips back east. :shakehead:

This winter has been FREEZING! My high here in Alberta is -30 tomorrow!!
LOL..that's why I'm running away to Roatan this summer for a few months and then off to Africa. I've had enough....for now! hehehe...good poem though.

Its almost time to move somewhere else. The cold does got you.

You guys/gals from BC are weenies.

Do you know a French Canadian song?

Mon pays ce n'est pas un pays, c'est l'hiver.
Mon jardin ce n'est pas un jardin, c'est la plaine.
Mon chemin ce n'est pas un chemin, c'est la neige.
Mon pays ce n'est pas un pays, c'est l'hiver.

In English:

My country is not a country, it's winter.
My garden is no garden, it's the plain.
My road is not a road, it's the snow.
My country is not a country, it's the winter.

You're spose to go during the cold weather, not when it's finally warm out!;)
