I have a Halcyon 27? Pioneer and I have used it in Cozumel, Nort Atlantic and local lakes ect... In Cozumel i used just the backplate with a 3 mm shortie, and in the Atlantic I used a full 2 piece 7mm and 25lbs lead total. Not once when I was diving did I feel that I didn't have enough lift. Although with a steel cylinder I would be a little edgie about diving in the Atlantic. I would go with a wing in the way of 36-45 if I was you. Ill probably get one pretty soon unless i go to doubles sooner. ;)
