I noticed that the bolt that attached my STA to the backplate is always loose after I dive.

I didn’t tighten it really hard to not break the threads, should I maybe replace the flat washer with a spring washer to it applies a bit of pressure to keep it in place or maybe a dented washer ?

I've got lock washers on mine and even still, I find that I have to tighten in periodically or it works its way loose.

I hand tighten them between dives. Really tight. I had derlin wheels come off during a dive! Was not a pleasant moment for me or my dive buddy.

yes..i tighten mine before the dives and check them periodically.

You could try replacing the original nuts with Stainless steel self-locking nuts.

It’s at times like this you wished you didn’t put all the weights on the tank :D

Does anyone know the bolt size for Halcyon in imperial units ?

Lol! That is an understatement!
Back to wingnuts and carrying a spare and adding new line item in my check list!

NO, but I just swapped my bolts out for metric ones of similar dia and length and used the Nylock lock nuts.

I don't split my wings apart more than twice a year (to change plates) I get a tiny bit of salt build up but nothing that some vinegar and warm water can't solve
