Stop your crying folks...when the Norte hits the island...true party animals head to the other side..see you there tomorrow:wink:
Not sure if you can buy alcohol or what establishments will be open on Christmas Day. Might be a good idea to stock up.

Got tequila, gin, Sol and assorted other beers...cold snacks and more...going to be a fun day on the east coast of Coz.

Ok, 11:38 and it has arrived. Rain and wind just began...was dead still and humid up till 10 minutes ago.

La Choza didn't disappoint once again!

Windy says the wind lays a bit tomorrow but stays out of the north. Sunday looks better.

Hi ggunn.
I'm in Cozumel and trying to understand Windy app. Under how many KT is it OK to dive?
The lady at the dive shop said that I should be looking on the "wind gusts" line, and that it should be under 15.
However this line is very depressing! It's above 15 through the whole week!

Look at Windguru - Cozumel, Mexico
Saturday looks iffy. Sunday looks balmy, then the wind shifts to come from the east so the island will shelter the island. And weather changes. Is it winter tho and nortes happen.

It's more the direction than the speed. Wind that's blowing onshore on the west side of the island is bad for diving because of the seas it kicks up. Windy shows the wind swinging from the north to the northeast on Sunday, which puts the dive sites in the lee of the island; diving should be OK. Tomorrow doesn't look so good, though.

Spent the day at the beach club on the other side of the island..glass smooth...Best xmass day EVAH!
