Will the Apeks 5th port work on a UST 1st stage?

Posted this at the Apeks forum but no replies. I looked at the manuals and the body and the turret of the UST and DST have the same part numbers. Am I correct in assuming that a 5th port upgrade will also work for the UST?

Interesting question, and not surprising that you haven't had a response. There are probably few, if any, people (including me) who have actually done this - put the 5th port on a UST. On a DST, yes, although the numbers are also limited - the 5th port adaptation isn't that widely used, and the people who use it (sidemounters) will generally be diving a sealed first stage.

There isn't an obivous reason why it wouldn't work - as you point out the turret is the same. But, you may want to just email Apeks directly (info@apeks.co.uk), if you haven't already done so.

Just got a reply from Apeks. It will work on the UST.
