Hello all. I am going to Wildwood NJ June 18-22nd. I have never dove in the ocean and dont want to go below 30 feet. Does anyone know of a place that does underwater tours? Or do you live near there and want to take me out for a dive. I have all my gear and am certified. But I have only dove lakes, rivers, and streams so far. I would love to find an ocean artifact on my vacation.

I am going to Wildwood NJ June 18-22nd. I have never dove in the ocean and don't want to go below 30 feet. Does anyone know of a place that does underwater tours? Does "underwater tour" mean "diving with a divemaster"? Check out this URL http://www.eastcoastdiving.com/dschedule.htm Their June 20th trip is as close as you're gonna get to a 30' dive. That shallow a dive (60') is designated for students and newbies. The boat is out of Atlantic City. One hour north of Wildwood, but easy to get to, easy parking, good crew. I have all my gear and am certified. But I have only dove lakes, rivers, and streams so far. Also, look at their "Things To Bring On A Dive" link. And call them ASAP to see if they are willing to take you out. Your bio is a little short on info so it's difficult to tell if you're up to this type of dive. No offense. I would love to find an ocean artifact on my vacation. Standard booty recovered on these types of dives is gold bullion, jewels, portholes, telegraphs, deadeyes, large boxes filled with cash, etc. Even more common are lobster, flounder and starfish.

Thanks for the info. If you come up with anymore please post away. I need all the help I can get.

It may be the "American." Depth & location are about right. See http://njscuba.net/sites/chart_nj-4_cape_may.html#AmericanOil Maybe I'll sign up for that one; I'm running low on gold bullion and cash and fresh outta bugs. You'll have fun but DON'T tell the captain about the cash you find; he'll want 20%.

To francousteau: Went out on the PK2 a couple of years ago out of BL. (CM is 30 minutes closer for me than BL!) Liked the boat but the only thing I've found this season about it is it's booked a dive or two with a Philly club. Haven't checked in a few weeks though. Anything new?
