Ok I am a super newbie to this kamera thang but I am enjoying my C5000 with PT019 Housing. It seems simple to use and works pretty well. It was also a very reasonable price. It is my first UW camera though. Question where should I be looking for a wide angle lens? I can tell I will need one. Can you use any wide angle UW or do I need to get a specific one? I am trying to hunt down a external flash as well and it just seems confusing...thanks for the help.

oh ya is a fish eye lens worth a darn under water?

Epoque makes a 46mm wide angle lens. It will screw onto the housing.

Inon has AD-mount lenses. I'm not sure if they have an AD mount adapater for the PT-019. You would have to check with them.

AH a reply outstanding...I have checked both sites. Very cool. Do you know if the standard Olympus wide angles will work underwater or do the lenses have a special orings or something.

Are you referring to Olympus' land wide angle converters? Those will not work with the PT-019.

As for the Inon and Epoque lenses, they are already sealed. In fact, for them to work you must have water between the housing and lens. You would need to attach the lenses after you are underwater.

Yep that was the answer I was looking for. I figured it wouldnt work but, I had to ask.
