I'm thinking about getting a wide angle lens for my PAS. At the moment I've got a Canon A610 in a Canon WP-DC90 housing, but I'm hoping to upgrade to a S90 soon.

I've been looking at the Dyron 67WA15 lens, as it looks like the widest possible. I'd like to use it with an adaptor on my current Canon housing, and when I upgrade either with an adaptor on the Canon WP-DC35 or on the Ikelite housing.

One thing I don't understand about what I've read about this lens is that it is not possible to use the camera's zoom with it. Is this a specific problem with this lens or is this the case with all WA lenses? If it is specific to this lens will it be a problem or do people generally not bother zooming anyway?

If anyone has any experience using the 67WA15 with the S90 I'd be grateful for their feedback.

Thanks,
Neil

Wide angle lenses in general do not like to zoom, if you need to zoom then just take it off.

As to the Dryon, beats me as there is very little info available, I wish there were more.

Depending upon what housing you might get if you were to get a S90 I suspect there are better options, but I could be wrong. Good luck.

Thanks.

I'm in the UK so the Dyron is a bit easier for me to get hold of than on your side. I haven't been able to find much discussion from people using them though (or rather discussion in English - I'm afraid my understanding of French is very poor :dontknow:).

Considering that the lens will probably cost about the same as the camera I'm dithering a bit over the choice.
