Why is a Catalina AL 8 Orange?

Does anyone know why the Catalina 8 CF pony bottle -- specifically the 8 and not the smaller 6 or larger 13 -- is typically only available in orange?

As a side note - possibly more important - is anyone using this particular size as a pony bottle?

I have this exact bottle and it is much brighter than it looks in the catalog. And yes, scared silly is correct about their choice of color. I got the tank from XS Scuba and I'm using their highland reg.
