Seven sharks species failed to be protected at CITES (Convention on International Trade of Endangered Species) meeting in Doha. These include scalloped hammerhead, smooth hammerhead, great hammerhead, dusky, sandbar, spiny dogfish, and oceanic white tip sharks. The porbeagle shark was the only one to receive protection.
