Hubby is an Irish Citizen. He wants to book the White Manta out of Singapore on 17th of August....can he obtain a visa in Singapore when the boat leaves ?

IReland is one of the countries that citizens need a visa and it would seem that you can obtain one on arrival, but the lists available only show airports and sea ports in Indonesia. He will be boarding the boat in Singapore !

Thanks in advance.

Scarke.

Check with the Indonesian Consulate or Embassy in London. You may be able to obtain visa before leaving UK for Singapore. Where does the boat enter Indonesia?

Not sure I understand the question, but if Irish citizens are eligible for visa on arrival in Indonesia then you will get your visa in Batam when the White Manta checks into Indonesia. Cost is USD 10 for the week-end trip. If unsure, confirm directly with the White Manta booking office...

If I'm not mistaken, Zippsy, a ScubaBoard member, is also a member of the White Manta crew. Why not send him a PM?

Frogfish is correct, you'll get the visa on arrival when we get to Batam, Indonesia. Batam is a 1 hour sail from Singapore. We have to check in there before heading to the Anambas islands to the northeast.
