white balance and red filters

Quick question. When you are using a red filter underwater do you set the manual white balance with the filter off and then put it on or set it with the filter already on?

And yes i know shoot in raw and not even worry about it but i still would like to know.

I can only speak to DSLR in a housing with the filter attached to the lens, you set WB with filter installed, so I would assume the same for wet reds.
