Any recommendations on how wide of a lens I should bring to the Galapagos (for UW)? I currently have the 12-50 macro in a nauticam housing, but I'm wondering if I should get a wider lens (specifically considering the 7-14 Panny or Oly) - it's a bit of an expense since I'd also need a dome.

Otherwise, I could bring my lens and also bring a GoPro for wide angle shots and video - I'm guessing that the GoPro photo's won't be too great, but if going wider than 12mm isn't terribly critical, then that would be fine...

Thanks in advance!

The Sharks don't actually come as close as you think.

I would think the budget option Olympus 9-18mm with wide angle port is adequate. 7-14mm would be better for schools but unless you get a good second hand it's quite a bit more expensive. Make sure you have two strobes and two 8" arm segments on each side as the Sharks will be at 4-5 feet distance and the water is not as clear
