I still use Borland Dephi 6 and it's very stable under all Windows OS (including Vista :) ). Also it produces a really stand-alone executable which does not need ANY other component or library to run (no DLL / OCX version updates, no registering problems, etc...). For a simple database application, all I need is the EXE and the MDB files!

The main drawback is that it's a bit slow, especially when it comes to database handling. What are you guys using? Any thoughts how could I migrate my code legacy?

PS: currently I'm a full time dive professional so the easier the better.
