My husband and I - in our early 70s- are looking to do our first liveaboard. He's been diving forever and I have logged over 200 dives, all in the Caribbean. We have no desire to dive elsewhere. We have read about LAs off Belize, Turks & Caicos, BVIs, Cayman Islands and Bahamas. Of those places, which is the best? For us, that would mean lots of sea creatures and interesting structures/swim throughs. We have loved our dives in Cozumel, Bonaire and Roatan.
Thank you for your advice!
Irene

I'd say Turks and Caicos. No swim throughs, but lots of walls and curious sharks. In addition, you would have your choice of two liveaboards.

Hi Irene,

The Exuma Cays, Bahamas, is an excellent destination for swim throughs and other unique reef topographies, as well as plenty of exciting marine life. On a week-long liveaboard trip, you could dive walls of all shapes and sizes, a blue hole, shallow patch reefs, a swift drift, and even a couple of small wreck sites.

For a first-time liveaboard diver, All Star Aqua Cat is a phenomenal place to start. You can log up to 5 dives per day, or you can choose to skip some and join as many or as few of the shore excursions offered daily. Aqua Cat passengers enjoy spacious cabins (each with a private en-suite bathroom), a huge dive deck, and numerous comfortable common areas to relax between dives/excursions.

The All Star fleet also includes two other liveaboards exploring the same area to provide options for other budgets and levels of luxury: Cat Ppalu and Blackbeard's.
