which camera for underwater pics?

Hi,
Im looking at getting either a canon powershot s1 is or a canon powershot s70 and wanted some opinions on these and which one is better. I plan on getting the housing canon sells if its worth the money. I want something that will be good for just starting out and also be able to use as i get better. thanks
