Hello

I've recently started diving in UK using a dry suit and I will be diving in Egypt in 2 months time. I have so far invested in a dive computer (Suunto Vyper) and a mask. I'm going to buy the basics.... fins, snorkel, wet suit for abroad, and I'm fairly certain I'm going to continue renting a dry suit for now. However, I'm looking into buying a BCD and reg set. I've been having a difficult time deciding which BCD and I'm reluctant to go to a dive shop, mainly because I like to read reviews and I want to pay the best price.

Anyway, I've seen this package: Dragon & MK17 R395 Package / Scuba Diving & Equipment / Deep Blue Dive

It includes the Mares Dragon and MK17/R395 reg, R295 Octopus and SubGear 2-Gauge Console for £549. I've checked the price of buying these individually on some different sites and it does seem to include a good saving. But I want to know, is this BCD good for UK and diving abroad? Is there anything else I should consider? How's the price? I'm confused !! :dontknow:

I've also seen the Mares Spirit which seems considerably cheaper. Would this BCD be alright for me? I don't understand why it is so much cheaper.

Deep Blue Dive also offer different reg packages for the same price, like this Dragon & MR22 Abyss Package / Scuba Diving & Equipment / Deep Blue Dive with the MR22.

Finally, what hoses etc do I need for the BCD/dry suit? Will the regs come with a low pressure hose for my BCD?

Any help appreciated !!!

Thanks
Scott

I bought Mares Dragon from leisurepro.com for 360 usd. It's one of the most comfortable bcd in the market because your body don't feel squzzed even during full inflate! I absolutely loved it! Pls note I dive in tropical waters so i can't comment its performance in cold waters.
